I've spent the past year watching experts launch AI digital twins on BuddyPro, each pricing their twin somewhere in the $1,000 to $2,000 a year range. Almost all of them asked the same question during onboarding: "Where do I find my sales page in the dashboard?"
There isn't one. BuddyPro doesn't give you a hosted sales page. We give you the subscription engine - Stripe integration, access control, trial-to-paid conversion tracking, the whole billing lifecycle - but the actual persuasive landing page with testimonials and a guarantee and a comparison table? That part is still your job, same as it would be if you were selling a course on Kajabi or a membership on Circle.
Most experts find this confusing because they assume "Stripe integration" and "built-in checkout" mean the platform also handles the marketing funnel. In reality, these are completely different systems, and almost no AI coaching platform bundles them together the way you'd expect.
Does "Stripe Integration" Mean You Get a Sales Page?
No. What it actually means is the platform can accept payment and grant access without you writing code. But a checkout flow (customer enters card, subscribes, gets access) is not the same thing as a conversion page (customer reads your positioning, watches a demo, sees social proof, decides to buy).
When my team and I were designing BuddyPro's commerce layer, we made a specific bet: experts who sell a premium AI twin at $1-2K/year already know how to sell. They run webinars, they have email lists, they've launched a course or a coaching program before. They don't need BuddyPro to also be their funnel builder - they need the hard part solved (a genuinely empathetic AI twin that retains subscribers long-term) and a subscription infrastructure that works (billing, trials, access, cancellations). The sales page itself is something they already handle with Carrd, Leadpages, or a Webflow site.
That works well for a coach with an existing audience and a proven webinar. It works less well for someone launching their very first digital product who wants one tool to handle everything from the landing page to the checkout to the product itself. For that second person, BuddyPro's approach creates real friction, and it's worth being upfront about that instead of pretending it isn't there.
So I had my team run a comparison across the seven major AI coaching and digital twin platforms (Delphi, Coachvox, Personify, Rocky.ai, CustomGPT, Pickaxe, and BuddyPro) to see who actually gives you what, based on current public documentation checked October 15, 2026. Vendor terms change constantly, so verify anything critical directly with the platform before you commit.
Which AI Coaching Platforms Actually Give You a Landing Page, Checkout, Trial, and Waitlist?
Here's what each platform documented as of this month:
| Platform | Hosted Sales/Landing Page | Native Checkout | Free Trial Mechanism | Waitlist Feature | Customer Referral |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delphi | Public profile/share page, embeddable on your site, but not a persuasive sales page | Documented paid memberships via Stripe Express, buyer-facing checkout UX unclear | Not documented | Not documented | No (their referral program refers creators to Delphi, not subscribers to you) |
| Coachvox | AI share page (6 layouts); Coachvox's own docs recommend building a real sales page separately | Yes - account creation, plan choice, Stripe, automatic access. A 10% platform fee plus Stripe fees applies, per Coachvox's own support documentation, checked October 15, 2026 | Yes - trial days and coupons supported | Not documented | Not documented |
| Personify | Customizable share page (closer to a branded product page), custom domain on Pro | Yes, via Stripe Connect on Pro and above (one-time, subscription, or free-messages-then-paywall) | Free-messages-then-paywall supported | Included in the separate Done-For-You package, not the self-serve Pro plan | No (refers people to Personify itself, not to your clone) |
| Rocky.ai | Branded home/landing page per white-label app, on a subdomain or your own domain; Rocky's own guidance still recommends a dedicated page on your own site | Yes - in-app Stripe shop, plus Stripe's customer portal for plan changes | Yes - free chats, demo access, Stripe trials and vouchers | Not documented | Not documented |
| CustomGPT | Only share links and embeds - no commerce layer at all | No - CustomGPT's own guidance tells you to pair it with external tools (Stripe, Kajabi, Memberstack, Teachable) | DIY via external tools | DIY via external tools | DIY via external tools |
| Pickaxe | Yes - hosted Portals with real landing pages, pricing pages, hero sections, FAQs, and custom domains, functioning as an actual page builder | Yes - recurring, one-time, usage credits, tiered paid-access groups | Freemium via usage-limited free access groups; no clearly documented time-based trial | No dedicated waitlist object found | No (their own affiliate program refers creators to Pickaxe) |
| BuddyPro | No - BuddyPro's own product material is explicit that the sales page is the expert's responsibility | Yes - Stripe/FAPI subscription billing, access control tied to payment status, trial-to-paid conversion tracking | Yes - built-in trials including a no-credit-card structure, plus invitation links | Not documented | Not documented |
Sources: help.delphi.co, delphi.ai, support.coachvox.ai, personify.fyi, help.rocky.ai, rocky.ai, docs.customgpt.ai, customgpt.ai, pickaxe.co/learn, buddypro.ai, and buddy.fm, all checked October 15, 2026. Platform terms change often; verify anything critical directly with the vendor.
The pattern that jumps out: almost every comparison online confuses a "share page" (the URL where your AI twin lives, often just a branded chat interface) with an actual sales page (a persuasive landing page with testimonials, FAQs, a guarantee, and email capture). Those are two very different things, and most platforms only give you the first one.
Pickaxe is the only platform in this group that gives you both inside one tool - its Portals feature is a real page builder with hero sections and pricing blocks, not just a branded chat link. That makes it the strongest fit if you want a true all-in-one storefront and don't already run your own funnel or site.
Everyone else - BuddyPro, Delphi, Rocky.ai, Personify on self-serve, and CustomGPT - expects you to bring your own sales page. The difference is that some of them (BuddyPro and Rocky.ai among them) still handle checkout and the subscription lifecycle natively, while CustomGPT hands you almost nothing and tells you to wire up the paywall yourself.
What About Trials, Waitlists, and Referrals?
Most platforms support some form of free sampling, whether that's free messages, a time-limited trial, or an invitation link. BuddyPro's built-in trials, including a no-credit-card structure, work well for experts who close through a webinar - attendees get instant trial access with no friction, and trial-to-paid conversion is tracked automatically.
Waitlists and customer-driven referral programs are almost nonexistent as native features anywhere in this group. The "referral" programs most platforms document send other creators to the platform itself, not customers to your specific AI twin. If you want a waitlist page or a subscriber referral loop, you're building that yourself with a tool like ConvertKit or Viral Loops, even on Pickaxe.
Personify's Done-For-You package does include a waitlist dashboard, but that's a separate, higher-touch service with pricing that isn't publicly listed, not part of the self-serve Pro plan most people use.
So Which One Should You Actually Use?
If you want a single tool to handle your sales page, checkout, and product without touching a separate site builder, Pickaxe is the best fit in this comparison. Its Portals feature is a real page builder, and the pricing and checkout layer is native, so you can launch start to finish inside one platform.
If you're an expert who already runs webinars or sells a course, has an existing audience, and cares most about subscriber retention and premium positioning, BuddyPro's lane is different. BuddyPro doesn't try to be your funnel builder. It assumes you already know how to sell and already have a sales page or webinar system. What it gives you instead is:
- An AI coaching twin trained on your actual content - upload everything you have, the AI trains itself, live in days
- Frontier models with unlimited long-term memory and real coaching depth, including the willingness to push back instead of just agreeing
- Retention that holds up - platform average is 60% weekly and 80% monthly; top performers among business-coaching twins specifically hit 60% daily, 80% weekly, and 95% monthly
- Premium pricing that actually lands, in the $1-2K/year range rather than $20/month
- A real subscription engine with no platform profit share - you keep 100% of the profit after covering the real AI usage your subscribers generate
Top performers among business-coaching twins on BuddyPro are doing six to seven figures in annual revenue. The average across all 150+ launched twins sits around $35K a year. Those numbers hold up because the twins are good enough that subscribers stay subscribed, not because of aggressive marketing - retention is the actual business model.
But you still have to bring your own sales page. If that's a dealbreaker, Pickaxe is the better call. If you already run a webinar funnel or sell a course and just want the AI twin itself, plus billing infrastructure that holds up at scale, BuddyPro is built for that.
The Honest Weaknesses
BuddyPro has no voice mode, no visual avatar, no marketplace, and no self-serve sales-page builder. It's also not the cheapest option - $197/month on BuddyPro's annual billing, plus the real AI usage your subscribers generate, adds up if you're trying to sell a $20/month product. This is premium-tier pricing built for a premium-tier outcome.
Pickaxe's weakness is less clear positioning on what kind of AI product you're actually building. It's a general-purpose AI app builder, not a platform purpose-built for AI coaching and long-term mentoring relationships. That flexibility is a strength for other use cases, like lead-gen tools or support bots, but if you're trying to turn your coaching methodology into something that feels like an actual mentor, you want a platform built specifically for that depth of relationship.
Delphi and Coachvox land somewhere in between: stronger on the AI coaching layer than Pickaxe, weaker on the all-in-one storefront layer than Pickaxe. Coachvox's separate Coachcart feature does generate real product landing pages with testimonials and a shop, but per its own documentation that's a different system from your AI subscription's checkout, not an automatic sales page for it.
Rocky.ai gives you a white-label branded app, which is a fundamentally different product experience than a web-based twin. Its landing-page layer lands closer to BuddyPro's model: a basic branded home page exists, but Rocky's own guidance still points you toward building a dedicated sales page on your own site.
CustomGPT is the most DIY platform in this group. If you're comfortable wiring Stripe, a membership tool, and your own site together yourself, it's the most flexible option here. If you want anything pre-built around the AI, it's the weakest fit.
The Real Question to Ask
The question that actually matters isn't "does this platform have Stripe integration," because nearly all of them do in some form. The real question is whether you already have a way to sell - a webinar funnel, an email list, an existing site - or whether you need the platform to also be your marketing-funnel builder.
If you need the all-in-one storefront, Pickaxe is the strongest option in this comparison. If you already know how to sell and just want the AI twin and the subscription engine behind it to be excellent, BuddyPro is built for that, as long as you're comfortable owning the sales page yourself, the same way you would with any other premium digital product.
Most of the experts I work with already run a webinar or sell a course, so the missing sales-page builder isn't really friction for them. They point their existing funnel at the trial link and it works. But if this is your first digital product and you want one tool to handle the whole thing, that's a different need, and a platform like Pickaxe fits it better.
Everything above reflects public documentation as of October 15, 2026. Platform features, pricing, and policies change often. If a specific capability, like a trial structure, a revenue share, or a waitlist, is make-or-break for your decision, verify it directly with the vendor before you commit to a plan.
