When I started BuddyPro, I thought building AI coaching platforms was the hard part. Turns out, the real challenge is helping experts understand what they're actually buying when they see "analytics dashboard" on every competitor's pricing page.
Here's what I've learned after watching 150+ experts launch AI twins on BuddyPro: most platforms promise analytics, but very few show the business metrics that actually matter for running a subscription business. When someone asks about MRR tracking or churn rates, the honest answer is usually "check your Stripe account" - not exactly the seamless dashboard experience the pricing page implied.
I checked what each major AI coaching platform actually documents when it comes to revenue reporting, not what the marketing copy implies. The pattern across the board was consistent, and worth knowing before you pick a platform to build on.
What Does "Analytics Dashboard" Actually Mean on Each Platform?
Almost every platform in this category tracks engagement well: conversations, message counts, user activity. That's useful for understanding how people use your AI twin. It tells you almost nothing about monthly recurring revenue, churn, or lifetime value.
| Platform | Native revenue view | MRR / churn / LTV documented? | Where the real numbers live |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delphi | "Earnings" page: total revenue, balance, upcoming payouts, platform fee | No | Connected Stripe Express dashboard |
| Coachvox | None documented natively; "Coachcart" shows per-customer spend only | No | Stripe (Billing > Subscriptions) |
| Personify | Per-clone card: Chats, Subscribers, Revenue, Avg Time | No | Connected Stripe Connect account |
| Rocky.ai | None; analytics are engagement/coaching-progress only | No | Creator's own connected Stripe account |
| CustomGPT.ai | None; no native monetization layer at all | No | Expert's own billing stack, built externally |
| Pickaxe | Individual user spend/usage data, plus a revenue/profit projection calculator | No (projection only, not actuals) | Stripe or exported webhook data |
| BuddyPro | /stats command: total users, active subscriptions, trial counts, average AI cost per trial and per active subscriber | Marketing mentions churn/LTV; the technical documentation doesn't show a calculated figure for either | Connected Stripe account |

Why Doesn't Any Platform Just Build This?
The technical reason is straightforward. Every platform routes actual billing through Stripe (or a similar processor) for security and compliance reasons. Building a parallel revenue-reporting system means pulling data back out of Stripe's API, calculating MRR and churn correctly, and keeping it synced in real time. That's solvable engineering, not a technical wall, but it competes for development time against features that touch the AI experience directly.
There's also a simpler explanation: Stripe already does this well. Its own dashboard and reporting tools are comprehensive, exportable, and plug into accounting software most experts already use. Rebuilding a worse version of Stripe's own reporting inside a coaching platform isn't obviously worth it, even though it would save a step.
The gap is that Stripe's interface isn't built around the specific question an AI coaching expert actually has: is this subscription product getting healthier or weaker, month over month. You can get there from Stripe's raw data. It just takes some manual work, a spreadsheet, or a third-party reporting tool layered on top - regardless of which of these seven platforms you choose.
There's a vocabulary problem hiding underneath all of this, too. Pricing pages across the category use the word "analytics" to mean at least three different things: raw usage data (messages, sessions), basic financial totals (a single revenue number), and true subscription-business metrics (MRR trend, churn rate, LTV). Those three things get bundled under one word in marketing copy, which is exactly why a coach comparing platforms can read "advanced analytics included" on five different pricing pages and still end up doing the same manual Stripe math on every single one of them.
Where Does BuddyPro Actually Stand on This?
I want to be straight about this one, since it's about the platform I built.
BuddyPro's own marketing describes its analytics as covering trial-to-paid conversion rate, retention/churn, and customer lifetime value. When I checked BuddyPro's actual technical documentation, the real picture is narrower than that language suggests.
The documented mechanism is a Telegram command, /stats, that the owner runs to get a report: total users, active subscriptions, users currently on trial, average trial messages used per user, average AI cost per trial user, and average monthly AI cost per active subscriber. That's a genuinely useful operational snapshot, and it's more usage and conversion visibility than most competitors document in one place. It does not calculate a churn rate or an LTV figure directly. Those terms show up in BuddyPro's marketing copy, not in the technical reference for what /stats actually returns.
Separately, BuddyPro's web dashboard shows a Payment Methods section listing pricing plans, names, prices, and message limits, once Stripe is connected. That's plan management, not a revenue report. The real MRR and churn math still happens in the connected Stripe account, exactly like every other platform in this comparison.
I'd rather name that gap directly than let the marketing language imply something the product doesn't yet do on its own, the same way BuddyPro is upfront that there's no subscriber transcript access and no public marketplace. It's a real limitation, not a hidden feature waiting to be discovered.
So What Should You Actually Expect?
Based on all seven platforms: engagement metrics are covered everywhere. Basic revenue totals (a dollar figure, sometimes a subscriber count) show up on most pricing-connected dashboards. Anything resembling MRR trends, a calculated churn rate, cohort retention, or customer lifetime value is essentially absent as a native, documented feature across the category - BuddyPro included.
That has a practical consequence for how you should evaluate a platform. Don't choose based on a pricing page's promise of "advanced analytics" without asking exactly what that means: usage stats, or business metrics. In every case I checked, the real subscription-health numbers (new versus cancelled subscribers, recurring revenue trend, retention over time) live inside Stripe, not inside the AI platform itself.
This is a common pattern across subscription businesses generally, not unique to AI coaching: the people running the most disciplined operations tend to build a simple spreadsheet or lightweight tracking habit around their Stripe data anyway, regardless of what any platform's dashboard shows them. If you're evaluating how long it takes to get an AI twin live, add this to your checklist at the same time: plan to own your own revenue tracking from day one, on BuddyPro or anywhere else.
The bottom line: every platform in this category, BuddyPro included, has room to grow when it comes to native business analytics. Pick a platform for the quality of the AI and the monetization mechanics that are actually documented, not for an "analytics" claim on a pricing page. Then build your own lightweight MRR and churn tracking from your Stripe data from the start, because right now, nobody is doing that calculation for you.
